Sunderland's National Glass Centre and neighbouring residential areas are to be served by a new regular bus service. The new 702 service is being introduced by the Connect 700 Partnership.

Around 250 people took advantage of a new initiative to combat loneliness this week (Tuesday 29th January 2019) as Go North East’s ten-strong team of ‘chatty champions’ boarded over 30 buses travelling across the region in a bid to get people talking.
The region’s biggest bus company, Go North East is continuing with its winning ways as its customer service team celebrates securing two finalist spots in the North East Contact Centre Awards.
A first in an industry that typically calls-in third party resource, the 12-strong in-house team is one of four in the running for the Dream Team of the Year accolade, after being selected by judges from
