Career Fair Set to Celebrate Military Talent

British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) is a Social Enterprise created for the Armed Forces Community (AFC). The overall purpose is to provide an all embracing, easy to access focal point where, in brief, the AFC and the commercial world can engage. As well as our online services, we do this through Job & Career Fairs held around the country, and these are a great way to see this in action.

On Thursday 24 November, BFRS are hosting a Job & Careers Fair at the Catterick Leisure Centre, Catterick Garrison. The event is aimed at Service Leavers, the Reserve Forces, Veterans, MOD employees, as well as their partners and families.

In recent weeks, they have been giving thanks, and remembering those that have fallen in conflicts and wars, on Armistice Day, Remembrance Sunday, whilst also paying homage to the end of the Battle of the Somme, 100 years ago.

Now BFRS are celebrating Military talent by showcasing the Armed Forces Community at its 2nd Job and Career Fair in Catterick of 2016, by bringing national and regional organisations and the AFC together to provide future career opportunities. These events highlight everything positive the military offer industry, and how they bring their skills, attributes, training and talent to those exhibiting.

BFRS Managing Director Neil Dean states: “Our focus is on helping the Armed Forces Community find new careers which match their training, experience and aspirations. Visitors will be able to speak to employers and recruiters representing a wide range of industries and chat to training companies to identify any training needs they require for their chosen civilian career.”

There will be over 3,000 jobs available on the day from a variety of exhibitors from a mixture of industries regionally and nationally. Exhibitors will include Gold Sponsor Bristol Management Centre, Go North East, Heathrow Airport, Scania (Great Britain) Ltd, Barclays, Chevron Traffic Management, Laing O’Rourke and Aldi to name a few.
