New year, new links as Go North East is set to serve Peel Retail Park in Washington from 2 January
From 2 January, Go North East will be improving access to shops and facilities at Peel Retail Park in Washington.
The retail park, which is home to B&M, Iceland, Greggs, Lidl, McDonald’s, Clays Garden Centre and JD Gyms, will be served up to every 30 minutes by Go North East’s indiGo 83 and 84 services.
The services cover Heworth, Concord, Barmston, Biddick and Washington Village, and there will be no change to current timetables from your nearest bus stop.
Washington Go Local Saver tickets are available for just £3.60 a day or £15 a week on the bus or the Go North East app.
Stephen King, commercial director at Go North East, said: “With a new year comes new links and connections.
“We’re delighted to be improving access to shops and facilities for the people of Washington and beyond.”
