The region’s biggest bus company, Go North East, is putting its full support behind a charitable-initiative led by regional hospice St Oswald’s, by placing a dog designed by British actress, Joanna Lumley on its Great North Snowdogs trail.
Holmeside will be closed to eastbound traffic from Monday 26 September until mid-November 2016.
Kynren, an epic theatre production which opened in July and includes 15 performances in County Durham, has commended Go North East’s support, providing park and ride services for the show’s thousands of weekly visitors.

Due to the completion of roadworks in Durham City Centre, a new timetable will be introduced on Prince Bishops services 20, 20A and X20 to improve reliability.

Due to resurfacing works on 24 and 25 September at A693 Pontop Pike/Greencroft, Coast & Country services 78 and 78A will be diverted.
Services 53, 54 and 69 will be on diversion each day.
