The donations are being made following Go North East not handling change throughout the pandemic, so any extra money left by customers is being put back into the community to ensure it benefits those that need it most, which will include many families who have been negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

​Earlier in the year at the height of the pandemic, team members from Go North East’s Consett depot created a hilarious video to the tunes of Queen’s ‘I Want to Break Free’ and Madness’ ‘House of Fun’, whilst delivering an important message about staying at home.

Around 175,000 journeys are made on Go North East bus services every day to travel around this wonderful region. Travelling to work or education, to visit friends and family, to have a night out, or to visit one of the region's many tourist and leisure attractions.
