Go North East’s much-loved Santa Bus is back for 2024, ready to spread festive cheer and raise vital funds for Children’s Cancer North, a charity dedicated to supporting young cancer patients and their families. Go North East is proud to announce a new partnership with Guide Dogs in Newcastle, offering free bus travel to volunteer puppy raisers who play a vital role in training the next generation of life-changing guide dogs. These volunteers can now travel for free across the Go North East network by presenting their Guide Dogs ID pass, allowing puppies to practice essential skills on public transport.
Bus operator Go North East will now offer free travel for up to three children aged 11 and under, when travelling with an adult with a valid ticket or concessionary pass holder during school holidays over the next year.

Hexham's new bus station will come into use from the start of services on Wednesday 30 November. Ahead of this, there will be changes to the times of some services and improvements to others which will come into effect on Monday 28 November.
